UNS31803 super duplex stainless steel wire mesh is in the range of medium alloy stainless steel with good resistance to localized corrosion. Because of its good yield strength and toughness, UNS31803 wire mesh possess the price advantage.


Duplex stainless steel wire mesh can be made into filter element to sieve various materials in chloride corrosion environmental conditions. With good toughness and welding performance, it also can be used for infill panels or space divider.

Since the birth of duplex stainless steel in the United States in the 1940s, it has grown to the third generation. Its main feature is that the yield strength can reach 400-550MPa, which is twice that of ordinary stainless steel, so it can save materials and reduce equipment manufacturing costs. In terms of corrosion resistance, especially in the medium environment (such as seawater, high chloride ion content), the resistance of pitting, crevice corrosion, stress corrosion and corrosion fatigue of duplex stainless steel is better than ordinary austenite. Duplex Stainless Steel (DSS) refers to about 50% of ferrite and austenite, and generally requires less than 30% of stainless steel. In the case of a lower C content, the Cr content is between 18% and 28%, and the Ni content is between 3% and 10%. Some steels also contain alloying elements such as Mo, Cu, Nb, Ti, and N.

This type of steel combines the characteristics of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. Compared with ferrite, it has higher plasticity, toughness, no room temperature brittleness, resistance to intergranular corrosion and weldability, and iron retention. The 475 ° C brittleness and high thermal conductivity of the stainless steel are characterized by superplasticity. Compared with austenitic stainless steel, it has high strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion and chloride stress corrosion. Duplex stainless steel has excellent pitting resistance and is also a nickel-saving stainless steel.

Duplex 2205 has excellent corrosion resistance and strength. This steel has excellent fatigue strength. Duplex 2205 has excellent resistance to cracks, pitting, erosion and general corrosion in harsh environments.
