Stainless steel mold mesh is also called mold exhaust mesh, casting filter mesh, and metal mold strengthening mesh. It is made of 202 stainless steel wire.
Paper and fibers from various sources are mixed in water to form a slurry. Stainless steel wire mesh is placed over a metal mold and the entire mold is immersed in the slurry. The wire mesh draws water out of the pulp and fibers. It also helps mold the pulp and fibers into the desired shape when heated and pressurized.

How is stainless steel wire mesh for pulp moulding is use?
1) Water is added to paper pulp from numerous sources to create a slurry.
2) On a metal mould, wire mesh is arranged.
3) The slurry is applied to the entire mould.
4) Water can be removed from the pulp and fibre by vacuuming through the mesh.
5) After heat and pressure are applied, it also aids in shaping the pulp and fibre into
the proper shape.
